The Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union, offers a challenging and inspiring career as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer.

Assistant Commandant (GD)

Salary: Rs.15600-39100(Revised) with Grade Pay Rs.5400.

Age Limit: 01 Jul 87 to30 Jun 91 (both dates inclusive).

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with 60% Male marks in aggregate of a university recognised by the Central/ State Govt./UGC and with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Maths & Physics of 12th Class or equivalent.

Assistant Commandant GD (Pilot /Navigator/Observer)

Qualification: B.Sc with Maths & Physics and 55% marks in aggregate and minimum 60% in 12th Std of 10+2+3 or equivalent scheme of education. (Physics or Maths should be one of the Subject in final year of B.Sc Degree.

Age Limit: 01 Jul 85 to 30 Jun 93 (both dates inclusive).

Salary: Rs.15600-39100(Revised) with Grade Pay Rs.5400.

Assistant Commandant Technical Branch (Electrical)

Qualification:

  • Degree with 65% marks in aggregate in Electrical/ Tele Communication & Electronic or equivalent qualification, in any of the above discipline, reconised by All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
  • Have passed Section 'A' & 'B' of Institute of Engineers (India) Examination in any of discipline listed at sl no. (i).
  • Candidates with minimum 60% marks in M Tech and BE/B Tech.

Age Limit: 01 Jul 82 to 30 Jun 91 (both dates inclusive).

Salary: Rs.15600-39100(Revised) with Grade Pay Rs.5400.

Selection of Process:

Candidates to reach the given venue at least 30 minute prior to the starting of Exam. The date and time of the examination will be generated on acceptance of the application on line. The PSB will be conducted in the first week of Feb 2012.

Medical Standard:

  • Asst Commandant (GD) and Technical: 157 cms minimum may be reduced by 5 cms in the case of Assamese (including those from Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura) Garhwal, Sikkim, Local tribes of A & N islands and 2 cms in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, mainland settlers in Andaman and Nicobar.

  • Asst Commandant (Pilot) and Asst Commandant Commercial Pilot License (CPL) holders for Short Service Appointment (M/F): Min 162.5 cms and maximum 197 cms, leg length 99 cms.

  • Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms]

  • 6/6(Good Eye) 6/9 (Bad Eye) without glasses
